A Peaceful Projection

A Peaceful Projection
Our LA tribe contacted us last week to share a vision for an inspiring concept… world peace in 5 years. P5Y.org, a global collaboration to create world peace in five years, launches on Februay 14, 2009 and has set the deadline for world peace five years later to the date, February 14, 2014.
This great picture was taken today at Town Lake here in Austin, TX. We were amazed at how many people jumped in and joined us once they saw the banner. Love those Austinites! Demonstrations for peace in 5 years are coming in from all over the country and world. Thank you Town Lake friends and the weather gods for making this possible!

Namaste Partners with Eco Gift Expo
We were honored when Eco Gift Expo founder and conscious entrepreneur Tommy Rosen approached us about becoming an integrated partner of his green holiday shopping event. Eco Gift is creating the first ever large-scale eco-conscious gift show that provides people with an uplifting experience and a solution to the inconveniences and terrible waste associated with the holidays and holiday shopping. The first will be held on December 15th & 16th in Santa Monica.
Here’s Tommy speaking about Eco Gift on Elevision!

Calling all Peaceful
Filmmaker and conscious musician, Michael Franti, will be holding a free concert in Golden Gate Park on September 9th called the Power to the Peaceful. This event will feature several conscious artists, including Franti and Spearhead. In addition to the main stage of live music, PTTP also features morning yoga, an open-air art gallery, a healing arts tent, a DJ tent, vendors and food booths, eco village, kid’s zone, bicycle coalition, and social, environmental & political organizations tabling & forums.
The festival began in 1999, however when the attacks of September 11th, 2001 occurred, the festival took on a new significance, serving both as a day of remembrance for the lives lost in the tragedy as well as a day in which Northern Californians called for and end to all bombing around the globe. “Be Peace Now” is this year’s theme reminding us that the path to a less violent world starts from within. Or as Michael Franti sees it, “We can’t change the world over night, but we can be a drop in the river that moves a mountain”.

Hope to see you there.
